The Luanco Marañuelas competition is preparing for another year to delight the residents of Gozón and all those who come during these special dates. This year it has been held for 36 years and It is one of the events rooted in the council, always linked to Holy Week.
This 2026 takes place between the 2 and the 5 for April On Pérez de Ayala Street, the town of Gozón has been preparing for several weeks for the arduous task of making one of the region's most popular sweets.
Only marañuelas and buns may be sold at designated stalls; the sale of any other products is strictly prohibited. Both types must be sold only in bags of six (6 units) and in bags of twelve (12 units).
