Lastres is one of the most beautiful coastal towns on the Cantabrian coast , which is why travelers stop at the San Roque viewpoint to admire such wonderful views.

There is road access, and you can leave your vehicle in the small parking area. You can also walk up from the village, but we recommend wearing appropriate footwear and taking your time, as the slope is quite steep if you're in the port area. The area features a recreational space situated on a small hill , shaded by centuries-old trees, next to the Chapel of San Roque. A children's play area, barbecues, a fountain, and picnic tables complete the grounds.
How to get to the Mirador de San Roque?
If we come from Santander by the A-8 we take the exit 337 towards Colunga. We go through the town and at the crossroads we take the AS-257 turning right towards Lastres.
We cross the village and go up to Barrio El Carmen, in the upper part of town. Almost at the exit of the town we will see the signage of the Mirador and the recreational area on the right.
We pass around the Parish of Santa María de Sábada and continue the short route that remains.
If you're coming from Oviedo on the A-8, take exit 346 towards Lastres . The AS-257 road leads downhill to the town of Lastres. At the entrance, you'll see signs for the viewpoint and recreation area; turn left. Go around the Parish Church of Santa María de Sábada and continue the short remaining route.
