Lastres is one of the most beautiful coastal villas on the Cantabrian coast, which is why travelers make a pause at the San Roque viewpoint to contemplate such wonderful views.

There is road access and we can leave our vehicle in the small parking area, although you can also walk up from the town, but we advise you to go with suitable footwear and without hurry, since the slope is quite steep if we are in the port area. The area has a recreational area set on a hill, sheltered by centenary trees, next to the chapel of San Roque. Children's area, barbecues, fountain and tables complete the premises.

How to get to the Mirador de San Roque?

If we come from Santander by the A-8 we take the exit 337 towards Colunga. We go through the town and at the crossroads we take the AS-257 turning right towards Lastres.
We cross the village and go up to Barrio El Carmen, in the upper part of town. Almost at the exit of the town we will see the signage of the Mirador and the recreational area on the right.
We pass around the Parish of Santa María de Sábada and continue the short route that remains.

If we come from Oviedo by the A-8 we take the exit 346 towards Lastres. The AS-257 road takes us downhill to the Lastrina village. At the entrance we will see the signage of the viewpoint and the recreational area, turn left. We go around the Parish of Santa María de Sábada and continue the short route that remains.
