What to see on the western coast of Asturias?
The western coast is made up of areas with a long-standing tourist and maritime tradition, such as Luarca and Navia . These towns are very popular in summer, as are Tapia de Casariego, El Franco, Castropol, and Vegadeo , bordering Galicia, where the Eo estuary creates one of the richest natural areas in Asturias. Nautical traditions are strong along this entire coastline, as are fishing and beach activities.
