The 27th Cider Festival will feature the participation of eleven local cider houses—Buznego, Castañón, Coro, Cortina, El Gobernador, Frutos, J. Tomás, Los Gemelos, M. Busto, M. Vigón, and Vallina—each donating between 25 and 30 cases of cider. Locals and visitors can enjoy free samples between 12:00 and 3:00 PM.
This year, 2026, the Villaviciosa Apple Festival has been declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest . The State Secretariat for Tourism highlights "its historical trajectory, uniqueness, social roots, and its contribution to the tourism and cultural promotion of Spain."
The event will take place on September 5th in the Town Hall Square, the tasting hours are from 12:00 to 15:00.
A symbolic price will be charged for the cider. More than 3.000 vouchers for 12 glasses each will be available for 5 euros. All proceeds, from both the sale of glasses and vouchers, will go to the Galbán and Raitana associations, whose volunteers and collaborators will be present at the event, dressed in their organizations' orange and blue colors.
The 19th International Bagpipe Festival (FIG) will take place from September 3 to 6, 2026. The program will feature concerts, parades, competitions, workshops, and dance performances, as well as a craft market and an exhibition of traditional instruments.
