Semana Santa Oviedo 2025
The Stations of the Cross and the Holy Week proclamation will take place on April 4 in San Juan el Real, led by Cardinal Ángel Artime.
Among its most significant processions are:
Palm Sunday (13th April)
The processions of 'La Borriquilla' and 'La Sagrada Lanzada'.
Holy Monday (14th April)
The procession of the Arrest by the Brotherhood of Los Estudiantes.
Holy Tuesday (15th April)
The Procession of Silence, of the Royal Brotherhood of Silence and the Holy Cross.
Holy Wednesday (16th April)
The procession of El Nazareno, of the Brotherhood and Confraternity of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth of Oviedo.
Holy Thursday (17th April)
The procession of Jesus the Captive, with three floats: 'Santa Cena', 'Jesus the Captive', and 'Our Lady of Mercy', escorted respectively by the Association of Spanish Reservists, the Civil Guard, and the National Police, as well as the Oviedo Local Police in full dress.
Good Friday (18th April)
The procession of "La Madrugá," the second procession of the Brotherhood of Students, departs from the Chapel of the University of Oviedo and is accompanied by the San Salvador Musical Group to the Town Hall Square, where the Sentence of Christ is read. The procession of the "Santo Entierro" (Holy Burial) takes place that same day.
Holy Saturday (19th April)
The 'La Soledad' procession, consisting of a single float, is accompanied by the Fire Department.
Easter Sunday (20th April)
The procession of the 'Risen Jesus', organized by the Board of Brotherhoods and Confraternities of Holy Week in Oviedo.
