The 47th edition of the Selmana de les Lletres Asturianes is dedicated in 2026 to pays tribute this year to Taresa Consul, Benedictine nun considered the first known playwright in Asturian language, and to the popular or traditional Asturian theater, a genre of centuries-old origin that played an essential role in the cultural and linguistic transmission of Asturias.
