The Mirador de Santrocaya is a old barn and stone stable from the XNUMXth century completely restored, combining the traditional architecture of the area, where stone and wood predominate, with modernity and comfort. The house is located in Villamarcel, in the neighborhood of Santrocaya, in an elevated area that offers a spectacular view of the Quirós valley.

LOCATION
The privileged location of El Mirador de Santrocaya allows you to get to Oviedo or Gijón in about an hour by car.
The Council of Quirós, has a attractive tourist offer for the visitor. A few kilometers from El Mirador de Santrocaya is San Pedro de Arrojo, church of Romanesque origin dated in the fifteenth century. It is worthwhile to deviate from the main road and visit Bermiego, a living museum with a rich ethnographic heritage, since it has 32 granaries and bread boxes, being the profuse decoration of some of them remarkable. On the outskirts of Bermiego, millennium yew, with its 15 meters of magnitude, a magnificent specimen of this species that is considered the oldest in Europe.
The Path of the Bear, track of 30 kilometers that runs along the old route of the mining train. It consists of two sections: the first begins in the Council of Quirós and the second in the Council of Teverga. Both converge in Caranga de Abajo, and end in Trubia. It is an easy path to do, with little unevenness, perfect to do with children. Ideal also to travel it by bike.

From Oviedo, Asturian coast, Galicia, Cantabria and the Basque Country.
Take the A-63 highway and take the 9 exit towards Trubia. Take the AS 228 towards Proaza and follow the indications to Bárzana. In Bárzana take the detour to the QU-1 towards Villamarcel.

From Madrid, Castilla-León and the rest of Spain.
Take the A-66 and take the 59 exit towards Pola de Lena. Take the AS-230 towards Bárzana and follow the indications to Bárzana. Once past the Puerto de la Cobertoria, in Bárzana take the detour to the QU-1 towards Villamarcel.
