The house, a two-story structure built in the traditional Asturian style, was completely renovated at the end of 1997 and is located in the hamlet of La Canal – Montes de Sevares, within the municipality of Piloña (Asturias). The house sits on the eastern slope of one of the many mountain ranges that branch off from the Cantabrian Mountains to the north, framed by the Color River to the west and the Tendi River to the east. This creates a beautiful mid-mountain landscape where significant areas of native forest alternate with scrubland, pastures, and limestone outcrops.
The hamlet of La Canal has 15 inhabitants and is located 6,5 km from the Oviedo-Santander National Highway. Its privileged location allows visitors to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the mountains , practice outdoor activities, and at the same time be close to the coast (28 km to Colunga, 33 km to Ribadesella) and other important tourist attractions (21 km to Cangas de Onís, 30 km to the Picos de Europa National Park and bordering the Reres Natural Park), making it an ideal place for nature lovers seeking its purest and most traditional form.
FACILITIES
Casa Faza is a rehabilitated two-story house with traditional Asturian architecture. It has on the ground floor fully equipped kitchen, and living room with fireplaceIt also has heating, television and washing machine. Outside and in an attached farm there is a gardened area for customer use, with a table and barbecue.
ROOMS
On the first floor there is a full bathroom and two rooms, one individual and another double with double bed and exit to the outside to a wooden corridor, typical of traditional Asturian architecture.
HOW TO GET THERE
The house is located in the rural core of La Canal-Montes de Sevares, at 17 km. of the capital of the council of Piloña, Infiesto. It is reached from the N-634 road, Oviedo-Santander, deviating at the exit of Sevares on the AS-339 road to Sellaño and Beleño, at km. 4100 of this road takes a deviation by a municipal road that takes us in 2,5 km. to the village of La Canal.
