Agenda for the Day of the Dead in Oviedo
· Dramatized routes. Discovering Leopoldo Alas “Clarín”
Saturday, November 02, 2024 at 13:00 p.m. Free.
An evocative visit to a magical city, Oviedo
Starting from the Campoamor Theater, passing through Plaza Porlier, Plaza de la Catedral and Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and with Don Ramón de Campoamor and Ana Ozores as guides, imperishable characters in our history, you are invited to take a tour through the real city of Oviedo and its double, the imagined city Vetusta and its most eminent characters.
Unique scenarios where you can take a round trip also in time, to confront the public with that real/imagined past, as a way to penetrate the literary world of Clarín, in the cultural dimension of the city of Oviedo, with humor and imagination and on an occasion as propitious as the 140th anniversary of the publication of LA REGENTA.
Audience appointment: Campoamor Theater pre-hall
Porlier Square/ Camposagrado Palace (2nd stop)
Plaza Alfonso II el Casto / Cathedral (3rd stop)
Constitution Square (4th stop: end/visit)
· 13 KINGS Concert
Saturday 02 November 2024 at 20:00 p.m. Príncipe Felipe Auditorium.
It was the year 718 when King Pelayo and a group of people ambushed the Muslim army. This was the beginning of the Kingdom of Asturias. Time went by and the Asturians left their mark on history, leaving behind feats and monuments, such as Sta. María del Naranco. The end of this reign dates back to 924. The rest is history.
13 kings is a project born from the collaboration of the symphonic band of the Ateneo musical de Mieres and the La laguna del Torollu bagpipe band.
