Alberto Lastra Cuesta (Gijón, 1973) considers himself both a lover of the mountains and a photographer. His love for the Picos de Europa has led him to explore and photograph them, searching for special places and moments. It is precisely this love that motivates him to share the aesthetic and natural values of the Picos, with the intention of raising awareness of their fragility and thus contributing to their conservation. For it is difficult to conserve what one does not love, and it is impossible to love what one does not know.
His approach to mountain photography is simple: show the mountain in a natural way, following the principle that the photographic technique must be subtle, almost imperceptible in the final image.
