At the easternmost tip of the Llanes council is the town of Buelna, at the foot of the Sierra de la Borbolla and 14 km. of Llanes. Buelna preserves the palace that belonged to the Count del Valle de Pendueles (18th century), and the Conceyu house, with a medieval bell tower. The town also has a number of traditional Asturian houses, with its wooden corridor, it has a chapel of souls, bowling and various tourist services.
The nearby geological complex of Cobijeru is located in the vicinity of the Buelna beach, includes Las Acacias beach and Cobijeru cave. It is necessary to take east direction from the town to arrive, has pedestrian access only, a few 10 minutes walking through meadows to discover this extraordinary inland beach.
