In Gijón/Xixón the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Education and Popular University has organized, in collaboration with the city's art galleries and other cultural institutions, the White Night for more than ten years. The chosen date is the last Friday of the month of September, marking the beginning of the new artistic season in the city. In the 2025 edition the celebration is September 26.
- There are 21 spaces in the city, which will host almost 40 free activities. in a few hours.
The Asturian alternative rock band "Puño Dragón" will perform in the Plaza del Instituto, while at the Antiguo Instituto, at midnight, there will be a concert by "Playback Maracas."
The performing arts will take over the Roman Baths of Campo Valdés with "Agrippina, the Younger" by "O Nariz Teatro," celebrating one of the most influential women of the Roman Empire. At the Jovellanos Birthplace Museum, Miss Beige, the alter ego of artist Ana Esmith, will star in a performance, an activity also supported by the Nicanor Piñole Museum with dancer Marion Le Bihan Giguet.
At the Celestino Solar Citadel, there will be shows for families, such as "The Fabulous Forest of Aesop" by "Fantastique Company," and guided tours of the saloon cars at the Asturias Railway Museum, where singer-songwriter Tania Pereira will give a recital.
