We share with all of you the agenda of events or events that will take place this Christmas in the town of Cangas de Onís. May you enjoy the magic of Christmas!
· IV Christmas window display decoration and communication competition
The aim is to boost the attractiveness of Cangas de Onís, integrate the business network into the life of the city and boost commercial and economic activity. The competition will reward participating establishments with the best lighting and decoration inspired by the Christmas theme.
Three prizes (1st Prize, 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize) of a monetary nature are established: 1st €600, 2nd €400 and 3rd €300.
· XXV Nativity Scene Competition 2024 City of Cangas de Onís
All Nativity scenes belonging to the municipality of Cangas de Onís may take part in the competition, provided they previously submit their registration to the Cangas de Onís Cultural Centre (telephone: 985 848 601), from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00 or by email: cultura@cangasdeonis.com. The registration period will be from December 2, 2024 to December 23, 2024. The Nativity scenes will be visited between December 27 and 28, 2024.
There are two categories: Entities (businesses, residences, associations, etc.) and families (individuals).
Each category will have three prizes. The prizes will be distributed as follows:
ENTITIES: 1st - €200, 2nd - €120 and 3rd - €60
FAMILIES: 1st - €150, 2nd - €100 and 3rd - €50
· Switching on the Christmas lights and inauguration of the Monumental Nativity scene at the Town Hall

· VI Margolles Charity Race
Saturday, December 7. Organized by the San Bartolo Cultural and Festival Association.
· I Christmas Market
It is celebrated in Plaza Camila Beceña on December 13, 14 and 15 with the participation of local businesses and artisans.
On the 13th and 14th from 11 a.m. to 21 p.m., and on the 15th from 11 a.m. to 17 p.m.
· Bethlehem of summits in Picu Arbolín
Sunday, December 15 at 9 a.m. Organized by the Peña Santa Mountain Group.
· Christmas Carol Festival
This year marks its 33rd edition. The date chosen is December 20th, at 19:30 p.m. in the Parish Church with the participation of the choirs of the Emburria Association, the Music School and the Peña Santa-Ramón Prada.
· Visit from Santa Claus
Tuesday, December 24 at 18 p.m.
It will descend from the Town Hall Tower.
· New Year's Eve
Sunday, December 29. Solidarity New Year's Eve.
Visit of Prince Aliatar
On Thursday, January 2, Aliatar will visit the villages and on Friday, January 3 at 18 p.m. he will meet the children at the Town Hall to collect their letters.
· Cavalcade of Their Majesties the Kings
On Sunday, January 5 at 18 p.m., they will parade through the streets of Cangas de Onís.
