XIV Social and Human Rights Film Festival of Asturias
The opening of the XIV MUSOC Exhibition, with the movie premiere The eternal struggle of Alejandro Nafría, on Saturday, January 10th at 19 pm at the Laboral TheatreIn addition to screenings, there will be book presentations, dialogues, and meetings.

From the 10 to the 31 for January There is a wide selection of social cinema.

"Broken Silences" section
A space to explore how current generations deal with the weight of the past, the reconstruction of identities, and the legacy of memory.
We will see and hear the voices of those who lived through the darkest episodes of our recent history: victims of repression, exiles, and activists. These films aim to raise awareness about the increasingly vital importance of democratic memory.

"Transits" section
Different LGBTI+ realities from diversity, claiming rights, breaking prejudices, opening paths towards equality.
Screens filled with cinema and pride in being. Screens that become a megaphone to celebrate the richness of human diversity, its dignity, its infinite capacity to love.

"Another Station" section
We have a collective responsibility and we feel challenged every day when we observe the plight of the thousands of people seeking asylum and refuge in Europe.
The reality of migrants and refugees is our problem, and it encapsulates the dilemmas of a society that is currently torn between aspiring to a fairer world and indifference.

"Women Creators Looking South" section
We entered the screening room with our purple glasses firmly in place in order to assert women's freedom to decide about their lives without sexist constraints.
Women creators, protagonists, fighters, who through their cinema offer us reflections full of social commitment and a critical look at gender.
