In the heart of the small village of San Feliz, in the council of Lena, lies Monte, a place where time stands still and the senses take center stage. With only five tables and five weekly services, this restaurant offers an intimate experience, designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace and with truly personalized attention.
Monte It opened its doors in the summer of 2019Born from the concerns, experience, and deep passion for gastronomy and Asturias of Xune Andrade (Lena, 1988), the project revives the village's old cider bar. a historic enclave of barely 25 inhabitants that once formed part of the Marquisate of San Feliz.
From its origin, Monte maintains a rural essence that engages with the natural, cultural and human environment that surrounds it.Located between mountains and mining basins, it highlights not only local products, but also the ways of life and traditions that define Asturian identity.
In a welcoming atmosphere, with an open kitchen that evokes the soul of a home, Monte It serves a maximum of 14 diners per service.This smaller format allows us to offer a a close, authentic and meticulously crafted gastronomic experience.
The dining room and the wine cellar are managed by Delia Melgarejo, whose sensitivity and knowledge bring balance and harmony to the culinary offering. Their selection includes around 90 references among wines, ciders, champagnes and olorososCombining the elegance of grand houses with the authenticity of small producers, their work goes beyond pairing: they seek to enhance and prolong the flavors of Monte's cuisine in every glass.
Monte also collaborates with El Patio de Butacas, the renowned cocktail bar in Pola de Siero, to offer a signature cocktail menu which reflects shared values and a common love for the territory.
