    We've put together a whole host of plans for families with kids: outdoor activities, theater, family workshops, and much more. We've created this guide so you can stay up-to-date, as each museum has its own linked calendar where they announce their events every quarter. That way, you won't miss anything interesting.



    · [Palacio Valdés Theater, Avilés]

    This municipal theater has been rescued and rehabilitated in 1992, since this date touring companies, local amateur companies, all the variety of genres have passed through it: drama, comedy, lyrical, musicals... and a new relationship of the city has begun with the Theatre.
    Under the name of sceneAvilés Performing activity is brought together in a common program between the Palacio Valdés and the Niemeyer Center, sharing programming criteria, performance spaces, exhibition calendars, spectators and subscribers.

    Although there aren't always events on the program aimed at a young audience, it's worth checking the schedule.

    · [ Shows at Laboral City of Culture ]

    Among the events at La Laboral, the " Let's Enjoy Laboral City of Culture" program stands out , featuring shows and workshops designed by and for young audiences. "Let's Imagine," "Let's Dance," "Let's Music," "Let's Film," and "Let's Theater" are five initiatives packed with great shows for young people.

    The Teverga Prehistory Park offers an engaging way to explore prehistory through a series of workshops. We'll discover the secrets of prehistoric lighting by crafting a bone marrow lamp, explore the magic of fire by learning how our ancestors made it and what materials they used, and test the effectiveness of some Paleolithic inventions by exploring their potential uses. These are just a few examples of the workshops regularly offered at this museum.

    Prehistory Park Agenda

    · [Workshops at the Jurassic Museum of Asturias]

    This center is especially appealing to young children; they're fascinated by the world of dinosaurs. They have an interesting program of family workshops, guided tours of the museum with the scientific team, and they celebrate "Science Week"...

    The MUJA garden, covering more than 7.000 square meters, allows us to take a journey through the Mesozoic Era or the Age of Dinosaurs, discovering replicas of the most well-known dinosaurs , with detailed information about them, and various original pieces from the Asturian Jurassic.

    Young children will also find another attraction near the MUJA: a children's playground with swings, slides, and themed games , all featuring dinosaurs. In short, a visit guaranteed to be a success.
