The heat of summer and the magic of the nights in this villa turn the festival into a unique meeting, especially pleasant and with a rhythm suitable for all audiences. An improvised rhythm in which the fusion of styles dominates and which in Ribadesella reaches amplified to all the streets in the nights of mid / end of july.
It is a music with a lot of personality, far from the purely commercial channels. The interpreters who meet in Ribadesella seek the best variations, and bend to the use of syncopation. Various orchestral formations gather on the stage. Batteries, double basses, electric basses, pianos, banjo, guitars and solo voices in which predominates the purest African-American tradition of New Orleans and the most diverse swings. There is no lack of Big Bands, nor gospel performances in the purest line of the so-called «Spiritual black». It is a rare year that mythical hits like "Oh Happy Day" are not heard in the corrosive throats of American artists. Each band raises the musical bar of the meeting a little more. There is also no lack of Caribbean, African or rapper chords. Ribadesella's jazz career has been consolidated in recent years with decanas of proper names of this musical trend. Ribadesella usually has a poster of artists of recognized national and international level. For the scenery of this seaside town have passed among others: Tete Montoliú, Chano Domínguez, Charmin Michelle, The Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers, The Olympia Brass Band, The New Orleans All Brass Band, Felix Morales Trio, Iñaki Askunde, Black Heritage Choir , The Campbell Brothers, Ethan Winogrand Trio, the D3 group, The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Marlena Smalls, The Hallellujah Gospel Choir, the KafuVeinte quartet, Jacobo de Miguel Quartet and many more.
