The Government of Asturias is dedicating this year's International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25N) campaign to To raise awareness and prevent abuse against women over 65 years of age, through the institutional campaign See, hear and do not remain silentBreak the pattern.
As part of the planned program, on Saturday, November 22, at 10:00 a.m., journalist and researcher Ana Bernal Triviño will give the presentation "Keys against sexist hoaxes", in room 3 of Laboral, City of Culture, in Gijón/Xixón, which will be followed by a round table in which journalists from Asturias will address the treatment of violence against women in the media.
The scheduled activities will culminate on December 1st with the round table discussion "Women over 65: It's harder to escape abuse," led by feminist geroanthropologist Mónica Ramos Toro. It will take place at the Palacio Conde Toreno in Oviedo/Uviéu.

Under the slogan "A Future Without Violence," a program encompassing 37 activities has been designed for this quarter, with the aim of raising awareness throughout Oviedo society about an issue that continues to produce devastating statistics. This year's campaign focuses on "silent and cultural violence," that which, subtly, "is rooted in the social and cultural norms that normalize control and submission." On November 25th, Oviedo will recognize the Municipal Women's Center and the Network of Shelters.

ORGANIZED FEMINISM IN A VIOLENT PATRIARCHAL WORLD
The exhibition "Organized Feminism in a Violent Patriarchal World" is an art exhibition that reviews the 25N campaigns of the Asturian Feminist Movement. It is organized by the Feminist Collective of Rural Women of Eastern Asturias.
From November 10th to 30th in the exhibition hall of the Ribadesella Cultural Center, Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 14:00/ 17:00 to 20:00 and Saturdays from 12:00 to 14:00.
