    What is the name of Asturias Airport?

    Asturias airport is known as Ranón airport, in Santiago del Monte, municipality of Castrillón. It is located 14 km from Avilés, 40 km from Gijón/Xixón and 47 km from Oviedo/Uviéu. It was inaugurated on June 11, 1968 and is very close to the sea, with only 127 m of elevation above it.

    The Alsa company covers the journey between the airport and the cities of Avilés, Gijón and Oviedo. Services to Avilés and Gijón also stop in Piedras Blancas and Salinas.
