The 2026 National Championship will take place in Navelgas on July 24, 25 and 26.
For the first time, the championship will feature three days of competition and new facilities designed to enhance the experience for participants and visitors. The events take place along the river, so comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear are recommended for wading, as the water can reach approximately knee-deep. Participants must also have their own mussel raft. Those without their own raft can use one provided by the organizers in the rafting area.

· Batting in pairs
• Batting in triples
· Teams of five people
· Batting with paella pan
• Night batting by torchlight
Each participant can register in several categories, provided they meet the requirements established for each one.
Gold panning championships offer a unique opportunity to discover this ancient technique in a fun and competitive way. No prior experience is necessary: many people get started on the day itself, thanks to the practical workshop offered by the Gold Museum of Asturias before the competition.
