KIND OF BEETHOVEN
Kind of Beethoven, a special commission from the Barcelona Auditorium in 2021, sees the young pianist revisit one of the fundamental works of musical literature: Beethoven's Piano Sonatas. The project has already been presented in the Netherlands and France, and at festivals such as the Barcelona Jazz Festival, where it has already received a warm reception from both audiences and critics.
· EMILIO RIBERA QUARTET

The band, led by Asturian guitarist Emilio Ribera, will present a showcase of their vision of the fusion of flamenco and jazz. From a repertoire that will shape their debut album, they will explore traditional flamenco songs, singer-songwriters, traditional Asturian repertoire, and various original instrumentals, in which the language of flamenco styles, guitar playing, and singing will blend with the language and improvisational freedom of jazz.

New York-born singer and Grammy Award winner Catherine Russell was born into musical royalty, her father, Luis Russell, a legendary pianist, composer, and musical director for Louis Armstrong. Her mother, Carline Ray, was a pioneering singer, guitarist, and bassist with the International Sweethearts of Rhythm, Mary Lou Williams, and Sy Oliver.
