The Gijón International Film Festival 2023, the FICX, already has an Official Section. It will take place from November 17 to 25.
A total of 76 Spanish films, 25 more than last year. The 61 FICX thus expands national representation in most of its sections and offers support to works that for the most part do not have guaranteed commercial distribution in our country. Santiago Segura will host the opening gala of the Festival that will take place on November 17 at the Jovellanos Theater. During the opening event, the prestigious Portuguese director Miguel Gomes will receive one of the FICX Honor Awards, and the Asturian actress and great cuplé diva Lilián de Celis will be honored with the IV Isaac del Rivero Award in recognition of her career. .
