The Chosco is a jewel of Tineo's charcuterie tradition and the vaqueira culture of the area, a result of the traditional pig slaughter rooted in these towns in western Asturias. Today it has a seal of gastronomic excellence, becoming an increasingly common ingredient in restaurants due to its high culinary quality. This 24th edition is held on Saturday November 1, coinciding with the VIII Huerta Tineo Festival. During the day there will be a very complete programme of activities focused, of course, on the protagonist of Tinete's gastronomy.

Thursday October 30
· “Chosco Chef” Competition, with participants in children's and adult categories.

Friday October 31 · Merás Palace

1. Presentation of the Marketing Strategy of the Tourism Sustainability Plan (19: 00 hours).
2· Technical and festive day “Chosco, healthy food: dismantling myths about sausages”, at 20:00 p.m.
This round table includes journalist Miguel Valle Castaño, future Honorary Ambassador of Chosco 2025; doctor and anthropologist Carmen José Fernández Rodríguez; and Gijón-based journalist Jessica Menéndez Puga.

Saturday November 1
· 11:00 hours · Opening of the Asturalimentaria 2025 and Huerta Tineo Festival events.

· 12 hours · Popular Amagüestu with sweet cider “La Llarada”And on the stage of the tent, the presentation of the book "Pousa Pousa" by the writer from Tineo, Tino Gómez, will take place.

· 13:00 a.m.
· Official opening of the festival and the appointment of Miguel Valle Castaño, a journalist from Gijón, as Honorary Ambassador of Chosco 2025.
· A tasting and pairing of Chosco de Tineo and wines from the Cangas PDO, guided by chef Marcos Cienfuegos Marqués, from the Bocamina restaurant, who will prepare two gastronomic proposals that combine tradition and modernity.

• Live music: Diego and Vito.

17 pm
· Awards ceremony for the “Chosco Chef” contest.

17 pm
· Showcooking “Taste of Tineo” where three recipes will be prepared live: cider-glazed chosco, creamy dip of Asturguaya cheese and walnuts, and an autumn dessert with apples and hazelnuts.

19 pm
· Presentation of the book “The Hands of Yesteryear: Recipes from Western Asturias”, by Beatriz López Vidal from Tineo, accompanied by a tasting of one of the recipes made with chosco.

21 pm
• Live music: Rumba Group.

23 pm
• Live music: Nostra Kas.

Throughout the day there will be a mushroom exhibition, coordinated by Francisco Linares, founder of the blog "Mushrooms and fungi of Tineo", and children's craft workshops with an autumn and Mexican theme.
