One more year comes one of the most colorful events in the East of Asturias. The XVI edition of the Indianos Fair of Ribadedeva to be held between 12 and the 14 of July in Colombres will pay tribute this year to Cuba and its culture. It has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Principality of Asturias, with the objective of the event being to pay tribute to the Asturian and Cantabrian emigration to America at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
An intense three-day event that will feature gastronomic events, exhibition spaces, musical performances, children's games and much more.
There are around thirty specialized stalls, half for food and the other half for crafts, organized around the central Plaza Manuel Ibáñez; There will be music, dancing, workshops, a market and even a special mojito corner with different varieties for all palates.
· Friday July 12: parade of residents dressed in period costumes. The parade will also be led by a dozen classic Cuban cars, a collection that will be displayed to be seen during the fair.
· Sunday, July 14: draw for a trip to Cuba live, at 17:00 p.m., so those interested must purchase the tickets in advance and be present at the draw.
· V THE MOST INDIAN PINCHO
The Ribadedeva City Council and the Organizing Commission of the Indianos Fair organize together with the local hospitality industry the gastronomic route “El Pincho más Indiano” on July 5 and 6, 2024 which this year reaches its fifth edition.
On the afternoons of July 5 and 6, Asturian-American fusion pinchos will be tasted in the participating establishments, thus remembering the gastronomy of the round trip to America, with the future of the Indians.
