The Asturian faba is one of the gastronomic emblems of the region and in Colunga a good tribute is paid to it in the already consolidated week of the fabes, which is celebrated every year the first week of December. Producers from all over the region compete for the best Asturian bean stew and the hospitality sector is dedicated to offering them in a menu with traditional bean stew and new generation dishes.

The production of beans is deeply rooted in Colunga and is still produced in the small orchards of our towns, where you can see their pods drying in the hórreos.
