This June 7, 2025 the Navastur Cycling Club and the Cangas de Onís City Council organize a new Lagos de Covadonga Classic.
The march will feature its two tours traditional, adapted to the different levels of the participants. The Gran Fondo will be 111km long, starting in Cangas de Onís and finishing at the Lakes of Covadonga.The peloton will pass through various towns in eastern Asturias, such as Arriondas, Ribadesella, Posada de Llanes, and Parres, before entering the most mountainous section of the route. The Alto de La Tornería and Alto de Riensena peaks will test the legs of the participants before the most demanding challenge of the day: the legendary climb to the Lakes of Covadonga. Meanwhile, The route of the Middle Distance race will be shared with its 'big sister' in its first 99km, placing its finish line in Covadonga, at the foot of the climb to the Lakes, after the ascents to La Tornería and Riensena.
