Christmas Oviedo 2024

· Ice rink, slide and multi-game area
Christmas in Oviedo will once again feature an ice rink, attractions, children's activities and a catering area in Campo San Francisco between November 29 and January 6. Indoor ice rink It will be installed on the covered Bombé promenade, with a skating surface of at least six hundred square metres.
On the Paseo de la Rosaleda a area of attractions and activities of one thousand square meters with four different attractions for children between 4 and 10 years old. The catering area will be located on the Paseo de la Herradura and will occupy more than five hundred square meters.

· Christmas lighting
A total of 337 locations to enjoy Christmas lighting with more than 590 light arches and 380 Christmas motifs, thirty signs with the message 'Merry Christmas', sixty metres of garlands, nine hundred trees, three light ceilings, 54 three-dimensional figures and five doorways. Of all these locations, the highlight is the large passageway on Pelayo Street and the enormous Christmas tree at the Campoamor Theatre, without forgetting the Christmas market located in the Cathedral Square.

· Nativity scenes exhibition

From November 30 to January 6. With the collaboration of the Oviedo Nativity Scene Association.
Four nativity scenes and a diorama are on display. Among them, a huge Neapolitan nativity scene with 200 figures, inspired by Oviedo, which, in addition to recognising different scenes in the municipality, such as the Plaza de Trascorrales or the Monastery of Santa Clara, pays tribute to the former treasurer of the Oviedo Nativity Scene Association, Gonzalo Fernández Cabal, who recently passed away, and to whom an image with his face is dedicated on the fountain in the Plaza de la Catedral.

The exhibition can be visited free of charge from Monday to Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m., and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 11:30 a.m. to 21:00 p.m. On 24 and 31 December, opening hours will be from 11:30 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. and on 25 December and 1 and 6 January, from 17:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m.

· The Magic of Santa Claus: Christmas Parade
December 24th, starting at 17:30 p.m.
Santa Claus will be riding in a sleigh pulled by four elves. Two more elves will be in the procession, accompanied by the Vetusta Bagpipe Band.

Christmas in Avilés 2023

· Christmas market
From December 20 to January 6 the Avilés Christmas Market will be open, one of the most popular events in the Christmas programme.
The booths will be set up in their usual location on Paseo Alcalde David Arias, on the La Exposición track and in Las Meanas.
The market will generally be open from 11.30:21 a.m. to 24 p.m. In particular, on December 31 and 6, and also on January 20, the closing time will be brought forward to 25 p.m. On December 1 and January 17, the opening hours will be from 21 p.m. to XNUMX p.m. and the market will not be open in the morning.

· “Christmas Drone Show”
On December 20, the sky of Avilés will shine with the “Christmas Drone Show”, a spectacle of 200 drones that will illuminate the estuary with light and sound in an unprecedented visual display.
