Antroxu de Gijón
The Department of Celebrations of the Gijón/Xixón City Council has opened the registration deadlines for the 2024 Antroxu float and brass band contests, Regional Tourist Interest to be held February 8-13, 2024.
· Night of the Wife of Gijón
It will be held on the night of February 8, 2024.
Antroxu of Oviedo
· CHILDREN'S CARNIVAL
It will take place in the Chamber Room of the Príncipe Felipe Auditorium, the Monday February 12, starting at 17 p.m.
All boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 14 can participate. Adults accompanying or assisting children may not be dressed in costume.
Two modalities are established: individual and groups (with a minimum of 3 boys and girls).
The theme of the costumes will be free. To be able to access the Room where the contest will take place, the dimensions of the costumes and their accessories must comply with the following maximum measurements: 2 m high and 1 m wide. For the display of the costume, the contestants may be accompanied by music, in which case it must be sent by email to festejos@oviedo.es in mp3 format file until February 9. The maximum recording time will be 5 minutes. Those received in other formats or media or after the established deadline will not be reproduced in the room.
· ADULT CARNIVAL
It will be held on sábado 17 de febrero, starting at 17.30:XNUMX p.m. Those registered will participate in a Parade that will start from the streets around Independencia Street and will end in the Cathedral Square where the costumes will be displayed to the Jury.
The modalities of the contest are as follows: individual, groups (with a minimum of 3 adults) and Social Centers.
The theme will be free. Participants must follow the instructions given to them by the organization. Contestants must carry in a clearly visible place the identification number that will be given to them at the time of registration if it is done in person. In the rest of the cases, it must be collected before the day of the contest at the offices of the Department of Celebrations. Cars, vans, trailers, floats, etc. may be used, and may not exceed a single platform measurement of 4 m (whatever exceeds this measurement will be articulated) and 2 m in width. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to go out in the parade and participate in the contest.
· Gastronomic Days at the Antroxu of Oviedo
Antroxu pot and delicious typical pastries: frixuelos, croutons or casadielles.

Antroxu de Avilés
The Antroxu de Avilés's big day is Saturday, February 10 and This 2024 it will distribute 19.870 euros in prizes, 6.500 euros to distribute among the best gadgets of the Galiana Descent.
