Antroxu of Gijón 2026
The Antroxu of Gijón will take place from 13 to 17 for February of 2026.
> The XXXVIII Charanga Competition Antroxu 2026 will be celebrated in Gijón on Saturday 14, Sunday 15 and Monday 16 February.

> Fourth edition of the Carna-Bar
An initiative that aims to promote the participation of hoteliers to fill the interior of establishments with color and creativity.
In addition, the prize money has been increased this year, 2026, to a total of 5.000 euros, distributed in three awards: a first prize of 2.500 euros, a second prize of 1.500 euros and a third prize of 1.000 euros.

CARNIVAL PARADE
Saturday, February 21, 17:30 p.m.
Itinerary: Independencia, Uría, San Francisco, Eusebio Glez Abascal, Cathedral Square, Águila.
Those registered in the costume contests (children and adults), brass bands, neighborhood groups from the municipality's social centers, and the Burial of the Sardine show "One Thousand and One Nights" will participate in the parade. In this show, different characters from the Thousand and One Nights travel with music and rhythm along the path that leads them to the final party where they celebrate life and death in a theatrical and carefree way, inviting us to share their joy and reminding us that the journey will always be more important than the final destination.
Costume contests and the Burial of the Sardine
Saturday, February 21st. Cathedral Square, 18:00 PM
The Contest will begin upon the arrival of the parade of participants where the costumes will be exhibited to the jury following the order of modalities (Adult Modality: Individual, Groups and Social Centers).
After the competition ends, the Burial of the Sardine ceremony will take place with the show "One Thousand and One Nights".
The jury's decision will be announced at the end of the parade of all participants. The winners will be called to the stage by the presenter, following the order of the competition categories.

Antroxu de Avilés
> XXXVII Galiana International River Descent
The Galiana International River Descent will take place on Saturday, February 14th, starting at 6:00 PM. The competition's prize money has increased to €10.000, an increase of €1.400 compared to last year, and the number of awards has been expanded to include two new categories. Ten prizes will be awarded, ranging from €2.500 for the winner to €250 for tenth place.
> Kings of Goxu and Faba
The selection of the King and Queen of Goxu and Faba introduces a significant change this year, as the prize will be awarded as a grant and an evaluation committee will be responsible for selecting the winners. The chosen candidate will receive a grant of 1.500 euros and will assume the official representation of Antroxu 2026, with duties such as choosing the theme, preparing and delivering the coronation speech, scheduled for Friday, February 13, and participating in all the events of the festival program.
> XLIV Automotive Gymkhana
It will take place on Sunday, February 15th, and will maintain the requirement that all participating vehicles be decorated. Registration will close on February 11th, 2026.
> Festival of Murgas, Charangas and Fanfares
The Murgas, Charangas and Fanfares Festival will be held on Monday, February 16th, and its prize money has been increased to €1.400. The registration period will close on February 11th, 2026.
> XLIV Grand Parade of Carnivals, Moxigangues and Floats
The Grand Parade of Carnival Figures, Moxigangues, and Floats will take place on Tuesday, February 17th, with up to €2.900 in prizes. The winning floats from the Galiana Descent will lead the parade, while the rest can participate outside of the competition and without the possibility of winning a prize.
> XXXV Antroxaos Chigres Contest
The number of prizes with cash awards has been increased from three to five. The winner will receive €2.500, the second-place winner €1.500, and the third-place winner €1.000; a fourth prize of €500 and a fifth prize of €200 have also been added. The registration period will close on February 11, 2026.
> Antroxaes Pets
The Antroxaes Pet Contest will be held jointly with the one organized annually by El Corte Inglés in Avilés. The City Council will contribute a special prize of 100 euros, in addition to the prizes awarded by the department store.

Antroxu 2026 in Llanera
The Antroxu will take place from 14 to 17 for FebruaryThe program of activities will take place between Lugo and Posada. On Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th, the program will focus on Lugo, with children as the main attraction, while on Monday the 16th and Tuesday the 17th, Posada will become the epicenter of the celebration.
Antroxu 2026 in El Franco
On Thursday, February 12, the Parrocha Morocha will be presented; the festivities continue. February 20 Friday, with a grand dinner and Comadres party at the Casa Xusto Rural Hotel and with the Solidarity Children's Carnival, in favor of the Gandulín Association, on Saturday the 21st, all events organized by the El Franco City Council and the A Trangayada Brass Band.
