It is one of the municipalities in eastern Asturias with the largest area and most natural attractions, as part of the Picos de Europa mountain range lies within its borders. It is also world-renowned for its famous Cabrales cheese . The municipality includes the village of Bulnes , which gives its name to the iconic Naranjo de Bulnes (Picu Urriellu), and which now boasts the added attraction of a funicular railway that has broken its traditional isolation and places visitors in the heart of the Picos. A well-known route is the Cares Trail , which follows one of the most beautiful stretches of this winding river. History of Cabrales
