How to get to La Huelga Beach, Hontoria.
In the town of Villahormes, halfway between Nueva de Llanes and Posada de Llanes, a detour on the road indicates the direction to follow: Hontoria and Playa de la Huelga.

After passing under the viaduct of the Cantábrico highway we can park our car if we want to make a nice walking route to the beach. We take the road on our right next to the wall of the Casa- Palacio de la Espriella from the 17th century, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. Rural house that has 2 plants and outgoing chapel attached to the facade.

We follow the path until we meet the beautiful little Chapel of Santa Olaya. If we take the path that passes by his side we will arrive at the Beach of the Huelga and the Canalina.

We can also approach by car to the vicinity of the beach, a flat prao serves as a parking lot.

Returning to our steps, we can turn left after the chapel and along the dirt road next to the A8 highway, we will find the hidden Playa de Gulpiyuri.
