The Galbán Race/Walk is celebrated in every municipality of the Principality of Asturias . All 78 municipalities will be awash in orange on Sunday, February 22, 2026, to demonstrate the immense solidarity of the Asturian people with our Association.
The Galbán Association, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary , has significantly increased survival rates in recent years. The funds raised are used for research projects, such as the current study on lymphoblastic leukemia.
The routes will be between two and five kilometres long (depending on the characteristics and possibilities of each municipality).
It is a charitable sporting event that aims to promote the health benefits of sport and moderate physical exercise for both children and adults - healthy or sick - and to raise funds, all of which will be allocated to research into onco-hematological diseases in children and young people.
