They are grouped according to the museum equipment or the location where they are held. We hope it is useful to you so you can fully enjoy it with the little ones in the house.
Activities for children at the Laboral, Gijón
[1]· The art of the loom

Meeting point: Laboral reception.
We will create different fabrics using looms whose warp can be woven from different materials such as cardboard, paper plates, recycled CDs, branches, etc.
Aimed at: families with children aged 4 and over.

Duration: 1 hour.

Meeting point: Laboral reception.
What work of art will we find at the Laboral? Unlike a traditional scavenger hunt, in this case we'll work in teams to achieve a final goal: discover what work of art is hidden at the Laboral. To do so, we'll have to complete different stations or challenges: searching for works of art, collective painting, cooperative sculpture, and modeling for a portrait.
Aimed at: 5 to 12 years old.
Price: General: €6. Reduced: €5 for Club Cultura Asturias and School Card until the day before the activity.
Duration: 1 hour.

Activities for children at the Tito Bustillo Rock Art Centre, Ribadesella
[1]· Hands on the brush and painting the panel
- Saturdays and Sundays from February to June and from September to December the 12: 00 hours.
- Wednesday to Sunday in July and August the 12: 00 hours.
- It will also be held in Easter (April 17 and 18) May 1 and December 8.
We will experiment with brushes, pigments and coloured stones to become prehistoric artists and discover how our ancestors painted caves like Tito Bustillo.

Do you know what animals existed in Prehistory? Mammoths, cave bears, saber-toothed tigers... They all had something in common: the fur they developed to protect themselves from the cold of the time. Let's get to know them and have fun recreating that fur with different materials.

The representation of women in Prehistory is very common. One of the clearest examples is the Venus, small statuettes with a feminine shape. In this workshop we will use our hands to create our own figure.

We'll test our aim as we discuss prehistoric hunting techniques and the tools needed, such as javelins and the propelling bow.

[2]· Exhibition The origin of life

How was the Earth formed? The Gondwana Museum of the Praehistorium takes us on an exploration of the origins of life through the geological materials and processes necessary for the formation of our planet. The MUJA (Museum of the Gondwana Museum of the Praehistorium) collaborates on this exhibition, created by Mathias Michael Kuhl, founder and president of the Gondwana Museum of the Praehistorium, with scientific content by Dr. Joachim Reitner.
Aimed at: adult audiences.

[3] Measuring the origin of life

Workshop linked to the temporary exhibition The Origin of Life, by the Museo Gondwana das Praehistorium, in collaboration with MUJA.
The Earth is approximately 4.550 billion years old, but do you know when the first organisms appeared? In this workshop, we'll learn the order in which the most representative groups of animals and plants emerged and create a time rule that each family can take home.
Aimed at: family audiences with children between 4 and 11 years old. Each minor must be accompanied by at least one adult. It is essential to purchase a ticket for both adults and minors.

Through traditional games, we'll delve into the world of dinosaurs and learn which ones lived in Asturias, what their footprints look like, and all the information we can glean from them. Did they walk alone or in herds? Did they walk quickly or slowly? How long was this dinosaur? Did it have any injuries?
