On the Asturian coast, in the town of Salinas -very close to the city of Avilés- you have a magnificent viewpoint that rises above the sea. In the open air we can stroll through the Anchor Museum, in the same enclosure as the watchtower. We will enjoy ancient and more modern anchors placed in an exceptional location. Among the most valuable pieces is the Anchor of the Spanish Galleon “Nuestra Señora de Atocha”, which was shipwrecked on the Florida coast in 1628, when it was returning to Spain laden with gold and silver.
On a rock beaten by the sea, the Peña Lisa, stands the great bronze bust of Philippe Cousteau, the son of renowned diver and scuba diver Jacques Cousteau with his famous ship Calypso, symbol of a life dedicated to the sea and whose human and scientific values have been amply proven throughout the world.
A suspension bridge allows us to access the viewpoint, from it we can contemplate a fabulous panoramic view of Salinas and its surroundings.. From this place we complete a unique experience, letting ourselves drift towards the horizon.
